Uh… “In Africa…” ignorant fcku, it isn’t one country, and having lived on the continent most my life I have never seen anyone count money like that. Though as I have only been in 3 of the many countries on the continent, I concede it is possible that in some countries money is counted that way.
As everyone knows despite being the highest producer of platinum in the world, my country has no money and no one can count.

Counting the money asthe Turks do, or the Africans, might look folish to Western people.
However there are a few tricks to fold money in a pack so you might count it twice. The “English” way does take care of that. For some of the above remarks but do not judge so easily…

Africa is a continent and not a country, so I wonder how many African countries this fool visited before jumping to his ignorant assumption.

1) for those who are saying africa isn’t a country… you are right. the title of his post is “how people count money from across the world”, and in the part about africa, it says “In africa”. It probably would have looked weird to put “in the continent of africa”, so what he did, from my perception of the english language, was fine.
2) for those chastising for the use of the same currency- did you want him to fly around the world and get the currency from every damn country? Its not practical, even if he did get some money when he “witnessed” these styles because he couldn’t use all of it in his own country
3) for those people that say “most people don’t” or “nobody does”: I doubt you have met most people or everyone in your country. He only states this is that people do it in that set of countries, really only necessitating that ONE person from that set of countries do it. I’m sure someone in that country does it like that, which may or may not preclude another country doing it in the exact same manner.

All the people saying “noone does it X way in Y”: most cultural behaviours, like dialects and folk music, not only change/disappear over time but tend towards however the dominant culture does things. If you don’t see these methods in your everyday life, maybe they’re done by older rural people. Or if you were just visiting, maybe you never actually watched someone count cash… not something I tend to do on holiday. Until now perhaps.

Oh yeah, some people are saying this guy doesn’t know about the thing he’s making videos of. It’s just to amaze people, and it’s intresting. It’s how he saw the people where he was (or where his sources were). He’s not getting payed to do this.

Another thing to consider: have any of you critics thought that perhaps these are the ways money is counted in front of foreigners or travelers? And that maybe that way itself different?

@26.Jeremy
So using logic number 3 i can say that everybody in your country sucks dick.
I love the way he goes country by country on Europe and then puts Africa (where the size of just one country is already the size of half Europe). But they have all the same culture in Africa so we dont have to worry right?
And for the assholes that say that it doesn’t matter if its true or not, really, true matters because if you take this as true you will likelly behave as an asshole in a very near future.
