Could this be the next-gen iPhone?

1

Engadget reports:

“……French iPhone blog iPhon.fr got these pics from an anonymous and unverified source, and while there’s no way of telling if the shots are legit, they certainly have a truthy ring to them. They follow what we know so far about the shape, size and color of the upcoming 3G iPhone, and while there’s always the possibility of knockoff, a Photoshop job, or some other evil plot to mislead us…..”

Information about the new iPhone just keeps coming, must mean it’s close.

3G iPhone to be discounted by AT&T

1

FORTUNE has some “new information” about the 3G iPhone:

“When the 3G iPhone is introduced this summer, AT&T is preparing to subsidize $200 of the cost of a new iPhone, bringing the price down to $199 for customers who sign two-year contracts, the source says. Apple is expected to have two versions of the new iPhone, an 8-gigabyte-memory and a 16-gigabyte-memory model with price tags widely expected to be $399 and $499.”

AT&T and Apple have declined FORTUNE’s claims, but when does apple tell us what they’re up to anyway.

Check back here for more information about the 3G iPhone.

Adobe developing flash support for the iPhone

1

Despite what Steve Jobs said last week, Adobe is still planning to develop a Flash player for the iPhone. Whether it will be nicely integrated with Safari or it will be it’s own browser (which Apple will be rejecting i’m sure) is still up in the air.

Here’s a quote from the Chief Executive of Adobe:

“We believe Flash is synonymous with the Internet experience, and we are committed to bringing Flash to the iPhone. We have evaluated (the software developer tools) and we think we can develop an iPhone Flash player ourselves.”

We’ll see what Steve-o has to say about that statement….

iTunes hits number 2 in U.S. music sales list

1

It was just 8 months ago when iTunes passed Amazon, becoming the 3rd largest music retailer in the U.S.

Now here we are today reporting that iTunes has just passed Best Buy in sales, and going strong towards the top to overtake the behemoth Walmart, some predictions say that will happen as soon as “sometime this year”. I guess CDs are finally starting to show their age.

Firmware 1.1.4 has been released for the iPhone and iPod touch, but no one has been able to find any new features. Perhaps it gets the phone all ready for that sweet SDK who knows.

Stay tuned

iPhone usage shocks Google

1

“Google on Wednesday said it has seen 50 times more search requests coming from Apple iPhones than any other mobile handset — a revelation so astonishing that the company originally suspected it had made an error culling its own data.

“We thought it was a mistake and made our engineers check the logs again,” Vic Gundotra, head of Google’s mobile operations told the Financial Times during this week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona…..”
