“The waterfall was created by a group of men for a public display in the heart of Tokyo in 2006. The architecture was designed by Tadao Ando and the “waterfall” optical glass bar was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka and installation was performed by Olafur Eliasson. Together, this group of men created what appears to be a bar made from water. Using an optical glass block, the same material used in larger observatory telescopes, is crafted using unique techniques that creates the illusion of a “waterfall” while the light reflects off of the glass.”

The humor here, however, is that whomever decided to execute this cyber-prank tossed a little humor in the mix, redirecting all traffic from www.blu-raydisc.com to www.hddvd.org, the main site for official HD-DVD business. We’re fairly certain that this had nothing to do with any official HD-DVD operatives, but no one in the HD-DVD camp is going to be upset by this. Now we sit back and wait for the Blu-ray rebuttal”

“Microsoft Corp. said today that it would post the release candidate of Windows XP Service Pack 3 to its download site last tonight.
The final version of Windows XP SP3 remains slated for delivery sometime in the first half of 2008, the spokeswoman said. She also warned off casual users from trying the preview. “As this is a release candidate, we strongly encourage only those who are comfortable installing prerelease code to download Windows XP SP3,” she said.”
